Tin hire is an affordable way to create those cake creations you've been dreaming about without investing in a tin you might only use once or twice.

Please keep in mind, lots of people love to use these tins! So please respect the hire period and return your tin on time to avoid disappointment for others. Our tins are much loved, they have bumps and are not perfect, but we assure you they work beautifully to create fun shaped cakes for you to decorate. 

Tins cannot be put in dishwashers. Please wash with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly (do not air dry).

Number tins are approximately 33cm long from top to bottom and 8cm deep. The 'number' or font is approximately 7.5cm wide. Different numbers have different volumes, and we estimate they serve 20-25 depending on the number.

Tin Hire Details

Online bookings are confirmed once we have checked that your chosen date is available. If the item you are trying to hire is not available on the chosen date, we will get in touch to let you know if it is available before or after your selected date.

You're required to read and accept our terms and conditions prior to checkout or tin hire.

The key points relating to tin hire are:

- Pick up after 10am on date of collection

- Return before 10am on date of return

- Tin hire is $9.95 for two days. Example, collect Tuesday return Thursday.

- We are closed Sundays and Mondays, so tins collected on Friday and Saturday will be due back Tuesday morning at no extra charge (bonus days!)

- Hire products are only available for pick up in store.

Our address is 651 Samford Road, Mitchelton. We have limited parking in our rear car park. Ellworthy Street nearby also provides street parking.

Collections can be made during our opening hours. If you fail to attend our store during opening hours, you may miss out on the collection of your goods. Failure to collect may mean your item will be unavailable and you will need to reorder at your own cost. We are not responsible for reminding you of your collection date, and failure to pick up your goods at the agreed time is not grounds for a refund or cancellation.

probably great shop, not so great for online business

I've booked a hire of one of the cake tins through the website (ordered on Monday for hire from the following Friday). When I didn't receive any confirmation that the tin was available, I rang up on Thursday to double check. I was told that they had my booking but that this tin had just been hired out that very morning and likely wouldn't be back in time for when I needed it :-( To the shop's credit, they offered for me to come in on Saturday and in case the tin wasn't back, to help me with some alternatives. But when they confirmed on Saturday that the tin hadn't arrived back in time, I was annoyed and then made other alternatives. I asked for a refund for the tin hire which was never provided, which I haven't received to date.
I'm told the (physical) shop is very good and that they are helpful, I just had a bad experience with their online shop and feel that if an online business is offered, it should be done properly.
