It was probably the best cake I have gotten for a birthday cake. The image turned out great and I got so many compliments from my guest and the waiters who looked over it!

This is the first time I have used shortening in a recipe ie Italian buttercream. I wanted to make it as white as possible and by blending the shortening with the butter i was able to achieve that and maintain the flavour of the butter.

Loved the taste and they melted beautifully for the purpose of my recipe.
