Hire Agreement Terms and Conditions

When you hire a tin or item from our store, you will be required to fill in the below form, tick each item in "customer acknowledgement" and sign to acknowledge your understanding and agreement regarding the hire terms and conditions. You will be required to sign this form even if you have checked out online. 

Below is what the hire form looks like. The terms and conditions are also copied below the forms for ease of reading.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This agreement is between the customer listed in the Hire Agreement (“hirer”) and Studio Cakes (“owner”) for the hire of the listed items (“equipment”). The hirer will hire the equipment specified in the schedule from the owner upon the terms and conditions in this Agreement and agrees to return the goods to the owner on or before the end of the hire period.

The hiring of the equipment will commence from 11 am onwards of the Hire Date and is required to be returned to the owner prior to 10 am on the Return Date. The hirer is entitled to use the equipment for the hire period and for any agreed extension of the period, provided any extension has been requested and paid for in advance of the Return Date. The owner will not refund any hire charge monies if the hirer elects to return the equipment early or prior to the end of the hire period, regardless of the reason. hire fees will not be discounted if the hirer collects the equipment later than 11 am on the hire day. 

The hirer agrees to maintain and store the equipment with due care and diligence, and to use the equipment only for its intended purposes and in accordance with any instructions and recommendations provided by the owner.

The hirer shall ensure the equipment is returned to the owner thoroughly cleaned. PLEASE NOTE CAKE TINS CAN NOT BE WASHED IN A DISHWASHER AS IT STAINS and rusts THE TINS. STAINED/DAMAGED TINS FROM DISHWASHING WILL FORFEIT SECURITY BONDS.

The hirer agrees to pay the owner the price and bond specified in this agreement, which includes any applicable GST. The hire fee must be paid to the owner prior to or on the commencement date of the hire period.  

The hire period is completed when the equipment has been returned to the owner in the same condition as when it was hired, on or by the Return Date/time.

REFUNDABLE SECURITY BONDS

The security bond is refundable at the completion of the hire period. Security bonds will be refunded provided the equipment is cleaned, undamaged and in the same condition as it was when hired, accounting for fair wear and tear.

Late payment fees of $5 per day will apply for each day that the equipment is not returned. Late payment fees will be deducted from the security bond.

In the event that the equipment is damaged, the full security bond will be forfeit to Studio Cakes. 7 days after the Return Date, if the hirer has not returned the items, the full security bond will be forfeit even if the hirer returns the equipment at a later date.
