We Won the Brisbane Lord Mayor's Women in Business Grant!

We have some incredibly exciting news to share with our Studio Cakes community. We've been awarded the Brisbane Lord Mayor's Women in Business Grant! 🎉

This recognition means the world to us. Studio Cakes has been part of the Brisbane baking community for over 50 years, and to be acknowledged by the Lord Mayor's office as a women-led business making a difference in our city is truly humbling.

What This Means for Studio Cakes

This grant will bolster us with ecommerce training and business mentoring, helping us build the skills and systems to grow our online cake business and make ordering online just as easy and welcoming as walking into our store in Mitchelton. It's the next step after redesigning our website ourselves over the past 18 months, and we couldn't be more excited about where it's taking us.

We're so grateful for the support that's carried us this far. Believe it or not, we're still baking for the very first customer our store had back in 1973, a legacy we hold incredibly dear. Whether you've visited us in-store, ordered a cake online, or shopped our decorating supplies over the years, you're part of this story, and this win belongs to all of us.

What's Next

We're using this momentum to keep building on the pivot we've already started, growing our cake and click-and-collect offering, sharpening our online ordering experience, and making it even easier for busy families and businesses across Brisbane to get a beautiful cake when and where they need it. There's plenty more to come, and we can't wait to share it with you.
