I recently visited Studio Cakes at Mitchelton, Sarah-Jane was very helpful & gave me a lot of information for what i was trying to do, as I have never made a cake with this icing it was good to have her help.

Can't move past the date...

My first time purchasing from studio cakes as I do prefer to spend with local small businesses but I'm not sure I would return to them if looking to purchase this product. I purchased two packets of this fondant online and when I got them home I discovered one was over four months past the best before date, the other had also past the best before date but only by a few weeks. Both sold at full price without any advice on the date and when I called the store to enquire if they had any in date I was told that she didn't think they were that bad. Sure given the product they were probably OK to use and I did use the one that expired just a few weeks earlier and it was fine, but as a customer this type of information should be made clear at the point of purchase.
